STUDEN Holding with its Employees Helps the Work of Blood Transfusion Service in Brčko

Date: 04.05.2016.

Brčko, 4 May 2016 – STUDEN Holding, together with its staff, in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Service of the PHI „Medical Center“ Brcko, has organised the sixth consecutive blood donation campaign.

Stable operation of the Blood Transfusion Service and adequate supplies are a precondition for the functioning of health centres, thus STUDEN Holding has taken seriously its moral and social obligation to help the work of Brcko Transfusion Service by organising the blood donation campaign.

Head of the Blood Transfusion Service, Dr. Azrija Pasalic points out that regular blood donation campaigns give equal chances to all patients in treatment. “With regeneration of blood supplies, which unfortunately are constantly in short supply, we contribute to the quality of treatment of patients who are fighting for their lives. We must not forget that when we donate blood, we give an opportunity to save one person, one human life,” said Dr. Pasalic.

The voluntary blood donation initiative, that the STUDEN Holding member companies conduct twice a year, aims to set an example, and to invite all companies and organisations to join this humanitarian campaign.

„By donating the only medicine that cannot be bought, STUDEN Holding actively cares about the health of its citizens and contributes to the work of the local Blood Transfusion Service. Thanks to the generosity and self-awareness of our employees, organised blood donation campaigns have become one of our brands that we are particularly proud of. To initiate such campaigns there is no stronger motivation than the knowledge that we are donating healthy blood, which our body, our organism alone created and which to another man is a medicine and a chance for life,” said Natasha Pucar, STUDEN Holding Corporate Communications Director.

Any healthy person between 18 and 65 years of age can be a blood donor without risk to their health. Blood donation is voluntary, anonymous and free.
