Brčko, 29 June 2015 – On the occasion of marking of Europe Day in B&H, organized by the European Movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in cooperation with the Government of Brčko District, participants of the Ceremonial Academy visited BIMAL factory’s production facilities.
CEO of STUDEN Holding and BIMAL General Manager, Ilija Studen received in his factory in Brčko the delegation of about 60 participants of the Europe Day Ceremonial Academy in Brčko, among them, Valentin Inzko, the High Representative in B&H, Marinko Čavara, President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirko Šarović, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, Borjana Krišto, Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mladen Bosić, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nada Tešanović, Chairwoman of the National Council of the RS and other representatives of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Srpska and Serbia; Ambassadors of France, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Malaysia and the Vatican, as well as numerous representatives of the financial and commercial sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On behalf of the organizers of this event in Brčko, the President of the European Movement of Bosnia and Herzegovina Predrag Praštalo, said that, without the support of sponsors and business partners, this European initiative would not be in a position to organize this year’s celebration of Europe Day in the town on the Sava River. “The European Movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina initiative would like to thank the Government of Brčko District for sponsoring this event which is important for the Brčko District and Bosnia and this visit to the BIMAL company is our way to express gratitude to the business sector for its support to the EU integration process of our society,” said Praštalo.
At the Ceremonial Academy titled “It’s time for Europe and Regional Partnership” that followed the tour of the factory, through various activities a number of recognitions and awards were presented for individual and institutional contribution to the European orientation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prizes for the European company and the Person of the Year for the Brčko District were awarded to the BIMAL Company and its CEO Ilija Studen. “The individual award “Brčko District Person of the Year“ awarded to Ilija Studen is a special appreciation to BIMAL Company for the aid extended to the Brčko district and the municipalities outside Brčko District who suffered the most in last year’s floods,” explained Nataša Pucar, BIMAL Corporate Communications Director who was also awarded the prize Europe’s Woman Manager.
