Brčko, 14 July 2015 – Austrian STUDEN Holding, which owns the factory for the production of edible oil BIMAL from Brčko, has recently opened a new distribution company in Istanbul, which is the fruit of STUDEN Holding’s continuous growth and development in this market in the last two years.
Through its regional centers in Vienna, Brčko and Dubai, the Business Group STUDEN Holding from Vienna, which today comprises more than 25 companies in 14 countries, has been successful in managing trade, production and distribution of food products primarily in the Southeast Europe and the Middle East for more than 20 years.
The factory for production of edible oil BIMAL from Brčko is the largest manufacturer and exporter of primarily edible oil in the STUDEN Holding system, and in the past two years the Turkish market has become one of BIMAL’s and STUDEN Holding’s principal export markets. Only in 2014, of 238 million KM of its total exports, 58 million KM worth of edible oil products has been exported from the Brčko factory to Turkey.
The newly founded company STUDEN GIDA Turkey based in Istanbul will have facilitated STUDEN Holding’s exports of other products from Bosnia and Herzegovina which are produced in the STUDEN Holding system in Brčko. „Our goal is to further the development and marketing of our products in Turkey and the new distribution company in Istanbul presents other Bosnian and Herzegovinian companies that are not part of our Business Group with the opportunity to export their products to Turkey, with which Bosnia and Herzegovina has a free trade agreement and which recognizes the high quality of products from our country,” stated Ilija Studen, STUDEN Holding President of the Board and BIMAL CEO.
In addition to the Turkish market, via its regional center in Dubai, STUDEN Holding gains access to farther Middle Eastern markets. A significant market in the Middle and the Near East to which BIMAL currently exports are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Israel. Recently BIMAL has started exporting its products also to the Chinese market.
