Humanism of the employees of Agro-industrial complex BiH

Datum: 05.09.2013.

Today, within STUDEN & CO Holding Open Door Days event, a voluntary blood donation campaign has been organised for the first time by Agro-industrial complex BiH employees in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Department of the Public Health Institution „Brčko Health Centre“.
One of the key problems that we have been facing in the community is the growing lack of blood donors. Any healthy person aged between 8 and 65 can be a potential blood donor according to Prim. Dr. Azrija Pašalić, Head of Blood Transfusion Department. „If every person in the world aged between 18 and 65 were to voluntarily donate blood only once in a lifetime, there would be enough blood for everyone. The blood is the only medicine that cannot be bought but can only be voluntarily donated therefore any initiative to this effect, especially organised blood donation campaigns involving large number of people, contributes towards the stability of the blood bank,“ said Dr. Pašalić.

This is the first organised blood donation campaign involving the employees of Agro-industrial complex BiH. The main objective is to transform this campaign into a regular campaign in the member companies of the complex. „Through this activity, we wish to encourage our fellow citizens to voluntary donate blood because, unfortunately, we never know who may need it and whose life it can save. We are glad that our initiative has been acknowledged by many of our employees with whom we have been socialising during the Open Door Days event, as well as with their families.“ said Ms. Nataša Pucar, Head of STUDEN & CO Holding Corporate Communications.
